X men 1992 - Series Review

I have started on the original X men tv series from 1992 and have seen the first 50 episodes. Even though I love the X men series and the movies. I now know that the movies are wrong on so many levels. Especially with the awesome character Rouge. In the movies she is a little "soon to be adult" girl, who is weak and give into the temptation of the cure, she is dating Iceman and is never on any missions. In the original series Rouge have permanently absorbed Ms. Marvels super strength and the ability to fly, she was adopted by Mystique and until the end of the teen years she was a villain, she is dating Gambit and she eventually end up with the strength to control her powers. Rouge is a main character on the x men team. So just the facts about Rouge is all wrong. The other big mistake in the movies would I say is Jean Grey. Yes she have an additionally personality called Phoenix. But that is only temporarily because Phoenix is an alien protector of the universe that have taken over Jean Greys body to save the universe. Later Phoenix becomes so big a thread that a great empire in the universe force the X men to kill Jean or they will do it. But when Jean dies the Phoenix is released from her body and is no longer a thread to the universe. The Phoenix force thereafter take some life energy from every X man to revive Jean. Phoenix never kills Cyclops or join Magneto in a mutant war. Or at least not in the first 50 episodes I am far from finished yet.

After my new knowledge about Rouge I am now unsure whether it is Rouge or Storm that is my favorite X man. Storm surely have the most interesting powers. But Rouge surely is awesome and is very impressive.
So now I will ask again, who is your favorite X men and why?
