Netflix released the Daredevil series, a few days ago and like any good Marvel fan I binge watched it and finished it in no time. Plus I also rewatched the movie from 2003 as a comparison as the movie received lots of hate. To be honest I did for a long time not get the hate, but now I see some of it and think that much of it is pointing in the wrong direction. As I think the director who accepted and directed the bad scenes should have some of Ben Affleck's blame.
Well back to talking about the new show. In the first couple of episodes where main background story is explained and we get introduced. I thought it was like it just started from beginning of the movie, it was more or less the same thing, which makes sense cause it is fixed and important story part. So it started with close similarities to the movie, which kept on for some time. Then the serie stepped up its game, to show that it wanted to be better. We got introduced to several new shades of Daredevil's background and even Kingpin's story.
The show stepped out of its predecessor's ill warning shadow and will possibly be spared of the hatred the movie experienced.

But as this is said I will start with some light critic. As I found some of the cast a little off and this is only small details. Firstly our hero Daredevil, who train a good deal and have been fighting crime for some time seems out of shape. His body does not stand sharp like you would have imagined a crime fighting should, I mean if we look at our Green Arrow, in Arrow, how nice his body is and then back to Daredevil. Daredevil looks like someone who just joined a fitness center, not saying he should be as ripped as Green Arrow, but maybe a little more. Then there is Kingpin, he lack that vibe of real power, like he is just a marionette, a stammering fool of a front figure. He need to be more laid back and feared, maybe give him back his cigars.
I look forward for more episodes, so I will give four out of five stars for now. I hope maybe Bullseye will join the show later on.
