The Jungle Book 2016 - Movie Review

The Jungle Book is a story that nearly everybody knows. On a short search I found that it have been adapted to movies at least 6 times before this version. So there should be no need for the big resume of the story. But in short it is about a human boy Mowgli found and raised in the jungle by wolves and other animals. Until a day where the tiger Shere Khan wants to kill him and Mowgli have to flee to the city.
I find it easy to say that this version is the best that have been made since Disney made their classic in 1967. It is really beautiful. The pictures and the animation is stunning, though there will be a lot of competition it could be nominated for an Oscar for animation. It have the classic story, the two best Jungle Book songs is in the movie. The casting is perfect, Christopher Walken as King Louie is probably the best King Louie there could ever be.
It is a little dark and I got shocked a few times, but that is how the story is and a live action version of the Jungle Book have to have scary moments. It is not bloody or full of gore so it is fine for anyone maybe with an adult for the youngest.
All the animal characters is over dimensioned, which is fine it makes them more amazing. But Baloo seems to change in size now and then, at least that was my experience of it. There were also sometimes I thought the camera was shaking a little oddly. But all in all it is a fantastic movie.
