Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar's revenge - Movie Review

Salazar's revenge is the fifth and probably last movie in the series. Will Turner's son, Henry Turner set out to release his dad from the curse of being the Captain of the Flying Dutchman. While trying to find a lead on where the ancient artefact Poseidon's trident is located he takes hire on different ships. On one of these ships, he encounter Salazar and his crew and Henry is the only survivor. Henry is told to deliver a message to Captain Jack Sparrow for an impending revenge. Meanwhile Jack had resided on an island unsuccessfully trying some bank heists and other tricks to earn money ending in Jack losing his crew and trading his magical compass for a lousy drink. And because of a forgotten clause and Jack's desperation he eventually releases Salazar from his prison and a race against death for Poseidon's trident. Well that is the main plot of this movie, some other shit and giggles is also happening.
Some have talked about a plothole revolving around the compass, it says in the movie that if you betray the compass something bad will happen to you. Or something more specific. Jack betrays the compass as he trades it for a bottle of rum, which leads to the release of Salazar. And people said that Jack have given or traded away the compass several times during the other movies, which then also would have released Salazar. I say to this, that the specific part of the curse is the "betrayal" part. In the other movies, it is taken from him, lend out and given with a purpose of abusing the person holding the compass. But it is first when Jack makes a bad trade (the compass for rum) that is not worth the compass real value, the compass deem his action as betrayal against the compass. So I say that, you can trade the compass as long as it is respectful to the compass.
I am a fan of all the Pirates movies. I know many say that the movies progressively have gotten worse for every movie and with the fourth as the worst of them all. I understand the criticism of the movies, of course the first movie was the best and the fourth is a bit out of style with the others. But the fifth gets right back to the main storyline that was created through the first three movies. And this movie ties a knot on every loose end from the earlier movies. It is funny, cinematic beautiful and like the others got wicked special effects. I liked it a lot, so I will give it four out of five stars and that is how I roll.
