It is a deep emotional story about lost and broken dreams. But it is filled with a lot of humour. I laughed through the entire movie. It gets a little political by pulling the gender issue but it fits great into the story and could easily have been made this way in an era with another political agenda. All in all the story is fitting, feels natural gives a good follow up to the first movie.
The movie is close to equal with the first Cars movie and way better than the second. The animations have gotten better, they are more smooth than before. It is a great and funny story with a good plot. I will give it four stars out of five. I have no reason for not giving it five, it just do not feel like a five. It would maybe have hit harder if the crash was not spoiled in the commercials and marketing process. And could maybe have used a more catchy soundtrack, the first Cars movie got good use of Life is a Highway.
