Big Mouth - Series Review

Big Mouth is a Netflix original animation series depicting the many nuance of the hormonal changes in teenagers. It follows the young man Nick Birch and his friends experiencing puberty and they now have to find a way to live in their changing bodies. With very crude and cheesy humour the series shows and explain menstruation, masturbation, sexual awakening, abuse, neglect, jealousy, womanhood, manhood, adultery, pregnancy, porn addiction, the illusion of porn, emotional substitution and many more. Some of the concepts are explained straight forward, like when Jessi discover her sexuality and she talks with her vagina to get to know it. Other concepts are abstract and metaphorical, like when Jay impregnates his pillow and gets a child.
It is a hilarious and very weird series but it takes sexual education to a modern level. It is very educational and it would make a great addition to any sex-ed classes around the world. The animation style is a bit crude and some of the abstract concepts is a bit far out and does not really fit into the story. And some characters are way too ridiculous but overall it is a very good and useful series and at the very least it is fun. I will give it a four and a half star out of five because of its greatness.
