Following the death of Superman, the world lost hope in a safe future. An ancient evil emerges from the darkness to conquer the world in its new weakened stage. Batman sets out to right the wrong he has done and assemble a team of superhumans to fight at his side and protect the world. But after a battle with Steppewolf the conqueror of worlds, sent by Darkseid to conquer earth. Batman and his friends realises that they are in need of Superman.
It is a straight forward plot about the creation of a team to protect the world from super powered evil. Which makes the movie easy to follow and hopefully the people who could not follow or understand Batman versus Superman or Suicide Squad is able to follow this movie. It is beautifully made and it got a lot of fantastic animations. It got great action and fight scenes. The Amazonians acrobatic and coordinated movements is a fantastic scene, maybe even better than in Wonder Woman.
The movie was everything that was to be expected from a team up movie. The team got assembled, they defeated the evil that made teaming up necessary and it opened up for future movie with even greater plots. But the movie may have been too simple, most of the story was possible to predict beforehand. Myself, I think I guessed 90 percent of the story from both Batman versus Superman and from the trailers. There was about one plot twist and it was sort of spoiled from a very early point. I did expect Flash to have a bigger impact on the story as he time travelled back to Batman versus Superman. But Flash is young and experienced at this point and probably is yet to figure out time travel. On the other hand Flash brings humour and a brighter atmosphere to the movie. Aquaman could likewise have gotten a more important role, he seemed more like Wonder Woman's sidekick instead of king of the sea.
All in all it is a good movie that opens up for many more to come. Aquaman, Cyborg and Flash could have used some more plot and screen time as it is there introduction movie. But there is plenty of time in future movies to make up for this. It was everything I expected, it could have been more but it did not have to. Therefore I am giving four stars out of five. But someone should maybe think about the concept less is more, when it comes to making trailers, you spoil way more than you have to
