Ralph Breaks the Internet - Movie Review

Vanellope is getting bored by racing the same tracks every day and wishes for new excitement. Ralph on the other hand is very content with his life and spending every day with his best friend. So to help Vanellope, Ralph builds a new track in the candy forest. But when Vanellope tries it out the machine breaks and a new piece to repair the machine is too expensive. At the same time the arcade gets access to WiFi and Ralph and Vanellope takes a trip to the internet to retrieve the spare piece for her game. But as they have never been on the internet before it becomes a long exciting journey.
This movie has so much happening in it that the resume given above is just the first of the movies three part story arch. The movie is like a combination of Ready Player One, King Kong, a zombie movie, a Disney princess movie and more. And it got time for it. Some movie can have nearly nothing going on and still not have time for it all but this movie has time for it all with a single exception. Felix promises Ralph to cover for him while they are at the internet. But Ralph is gone for more than a day and they do not explain how he does it. Felix could not cover for Ralph in the first movie and it could have been just a bit better if they explained this. It is amazing how much this movie can and does. Further more is the animation which like many animated movies in this era well-made and incredible. Everything is smooth, beautiful and a joy to experience.

There is not much critique to give on this movie. But I have two points I think could be adjusted. The first is the whole how those Felix covers for Ralph mentioned earlier. The second is that they should maybe adjust the timeline. After winning the bid for the part Ralph and Vanellope gets twenty-four hours to get the money. They head into a game to retrieve an item and when they get out sixteen hours has passed and then the last eight hours takes a really long time. But that is a very tiny and unimportant detail.
So all in all I would give the movie a four and eight tenth of a point but my scale does not work like that. So therefore I will give it five out of five stars for being so close to perfect.
