Batman Arkham Origins - Game Review

The third game of the Batman Arkham series came in the shops Friday 25th of October. I picked up my copy Saturday 26th of October and with about 24 hours of gameplay I finished the story line on hard mode. I did some side quest along the way but every time I began collecting data packs and doing side quests I thought "Hey I just started there is probably a lot more game left I can collect the things as I venture forth". But no, the end came too fast and the journey is over. Thus the story is great 24 hours is too short a story line. Okay I only did the normal game, now I can begin on plus mode which is the same story and game with a little change. But that is not all because when I finish the plus mode I unlock a new mode which I strongly suspect I just another play through of the storyline with tougher enemies. I really do not like when you just have to play the same story on harder and harder difficulties. It feels like the producers take the easy way out. I would rather just play on the hardest difficulty at the start, get beaten, cry at night, swallow my shame and then start on a more suitable difficulty. For me it gets more monotonous to play the same story multiple times than it does playing a story that is twice as long with similar battles and challenges.
As that is said I think this is a great game (I think that Batman Arkham City was a little better) and the story was brilliant. I loved to see how some of the villains came to be and how some others met and formed alliances. I really loved the part about a miss Quinzel.
I have not yet tried the multiplayer part, there were no body to play with me but hope it gets up and running with a lot of players. The challenges is like in Batman Arkham City very challenging and hard to beat.

So to sum up, great storyline, game is a little too short and repetive, challenging. I will give three and a half batarangs out of five.
