Pokemon Go - Game Review

Pokemon Go have been out for a week and just arrived to most of Europe. I just started six hours ago with a Bulbasaur and already have 14 different Pokemons and I joined team Mystic. Initially Pokemon Go is great and everything I expected. It is not everything I hoped for but definitely everything I expected. I did a post (Future of Pokemon gaming?) three years ago about what I hoped a Pokemon app would turn out to be http://myhappynerdlife.blogspot.dk/2013/09/future-of-pokemon-gaming.html it is slightly different from what Pokemon Go is.
Pokemon Go have become the most downloaded app, it get people to go outside and it is helping people to socialize. As an initial version it is perfect. It gives everyone the ability to go collect Pokemons like a true trainer. If this is meant to be the complete game it will sadly probably be a one hit wonder. Many will be stopping the closer they get to full completion of the Pokedex as it gets hard to find the last Pokemons or they will feel like there is nothing new to do.

Niantic and the Pokemon Company plus Nintendo will have to keep developing the game for the future. They will probably start with implementing generation two and so on. I hope Pokemons become even more region specific, especially Vivillon needs continental specific colours. I also think they should make real battles and NPC Gyms where you can obtain badges. These ideas will boost competition, it will give a greater sense of goals in the game and it will boost global tourism. Which will give the game a longer lifespan and it will connect the world in a new way as trainers will travel the world to collect Pokemons and badges.
"But will region exclusive Pokemon not discourage trainers from playing as not everyone can afford to travel?" Yes and no. Many trainers may think like this but then again comes supply and demands both in travel agencies and Pokemon trading. Travels will become cheaper and more efficient to accommodate the new demand. And a whole marked could be established with Pokemon trading, selling and "poaching". Global economy.
Lastly I will give a picture of my two favourite Pokemons.
